Befriending[]

Befriending Minigame
Upon meeting a wolf, there is no way to tell what kind of Disposition it has.¹ There are four options to choose from, and you have three shots at befriending the wolf. After choosing your first interaction, the wolf will react accordingly, and with it reveal their Disposition.
This wolf's disposition is unknown until you make the first move.
Romantic disposition
Friendly disposition
Aggressive disposition
Stoic disposition
After you know the wolf's disposition, you can choose which actions to take to befriend a wolf. Each action affects the wolf in a negative or positive way depending on their disposition.
¹ Your Lead Wolf can learn the Talent "Body Language", which will let you know every wolf's disposition right away in befriending.

Chased Wolves
[]
At level 10, players may run into wolves with a Pink Shooting Star that indicates Chased Wolves, or Chased NBWs.
Chased Wolves are wolves that previously belonged to another player's pack, but were Chased out. They keep their looks, but their age¹, stats, and heritage are reset. A wolf can be found in explore 4-48 hours after being chased.
¹ If a wolf is chased at 5 years and gets found, they will be the same age that they were when they got Chased. Any wolf older than 5 years will have it's age 'rerolled' if found, so it could be anywhere from 1 to 5 years old after that reroll. The maximum age for all NBWs is 5 years upon finding.
Special Befriendable Wolves
[]
At level 15, players may run into wolves with Rarity Stars that indicate unique features, called Special NBW Bases, Markings, and Eye Colors. These rarity stars are as follows:
(1 unique trait)
(2 unique traits)
(3 unique traits)
(4 unique traits)
